At Time Out Group (TOG), based in Handforth, Cheshire, we’re dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities or autism, as well as those with additional physical, sensory, or mental health challenges. Established in 2001 by Sue Mills, TOG is an independent registered charity that works closely with our members and their families to ensure they receive the support they need to thrive.

In the UK, there are over 1.5 million people with a learning disability, and more than 1 in 100 individuals are on the autism spectrum. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where these adults are embraced in their communities and given the opportunity to engage in a wide range of educational and social activities, free from stigma and discrimination.

We offer a varied programme of weekly sessions to promote independence, foster community engagement, and enhance both physical and mental wellbeing. Whether it’s through arts, sports, or social activities, our sessions are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our members.  Delivered in a fun, supportive, and relaxed atmosphere, members are given the freedom to attend as often as they like, with activities easily booked in advance.

Our accessible hub in Handforth provides a welcoming space where members can come together and build their confidence. In doing so, we also offer much-needed respite for families, carers, and loved ones. We’re proud to be expanding our reach further, into more areas of Cheshire East, bringing support and inclusion to even more people and communities.

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work is witnessing the impact for our members as they engage in these enriching experiences. As one of our members shared: “It’s wonderful to be in a place where I can just be myself and have fun, knowing I’m supported every step of the way.”
