Sustainability

At CFS Events, we aim to make every event we run as sustainable as possible. We hope that you'll join us in reducing the carbon footprint of this event through the following initiatives:

Choosing the most sustainable way to travel to the meeting. We have listed travel in order of sustainability below.

Bringing a refillable water bottle to the event.

Using your mobile device to view the programme (we try to limit paper usage and printing, but there will be QR codes to view the programme on the day).

Recycling your badge after the meeting.

For all our events, we ensure there is a good range of vegetarian food and at least as many non-meat options as there are meat. We do not order any catering that involves single-use plastic or individual packaging.

We aim to use venues that are part of the IACC Greenstar Scheme or have been accredited as Green.

Trains

The nearest train station to the conference hotel is Dalmuir Station, which is a 10 minute walk.

The main train station is Glasgow Central Station, Gordon St. It takes approximately 40 minutes by Public Transport or 25 minutes by taxi to get to the conference hotel.

Parking

There is a free of charge onsite car park serving the hospital, hotel and conference centre. Parking is limited and offered on a 'first come first served' basis. Where possible, we encourage you to car share.

Airports

The conference hotel is 20 minutes by car from Glasgow Airport. The airport has a host of national and international connections. You can offset your carbon emissions on most flights. It doesn't cost much and it makes a difference!

Arrival and registration

The registration desk will open at 08:30 on Tuesday 10th June 2025.

The registration desk will be located just outside the exhibition room, the Arcoona, on the ground floor of the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel. There will be clear signage to direct you to the registration desk throughout the venue.

Please note: Accommodation is not included with delegate registrations. However, if you call the hotel directly and let them know that you are attending this meeting, they can offer bed and breakfast at a preferential rate - 0141 951 6006

Lunch and Refreshments 

Lunch and refreshments will be served in the Arcoona Room. Water coolers are provided in the event rooms, so please bring your refillable bottles. If you notified us about any dietary requirements or food allergies during your registration, you will be provided with a suitable lunch, catering for your needs. Please notify a member of staff of your name and specific dietary requirement at lunch, as your food may be separate from the main buffet.

CPD Certificate

CPD accreditation will be applied for.

Your certificate will be emailed to you upon completion of the online evaluation form after the meeting.

Cancellations

If you are no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible so your place can be offered to someone else.
