Rachel Bennett is Technical Director for Safety Services at SLR Consulting. Rachel has lead projects with a range of organisations to support them in improving their Safety and Business performance. With a psychology background she has nearly 20 years’ experience of Health and Safety Management, starting her career in the Rail Industry in the Corporate SQE Hub for London Underground as the H&S lead for safety data analysis and assessment; becoming Risk and Change Management Programmes at Transport for London before moving into consulting. She focusses on enabling companies to ensure they are aware of the interaction of people, plant, systems and processes in the control of their safety and business operations and to ensure they invest and implement in a way that engages personnel at all levels and affects the reality of their performance. To achieve this Rachel provides services including Safety/Organisational Performance Culture diagnostics and improvement programmes; Safety Management System development and implementation programmes; Competency Management system development and rollout; safety improvement strategy development working with business leaders; Behavioural Based Safety programmes, a range of training design and facilitation including safety leadership, Human Factors awareness & hazard awareness training. Rachel has project managed work with companies to support them through a range of change programmes, from developing overarching H&S Strategies, Management Systems and Standards to engaging people at all levels through design and facilitation of workshops and identifying barriers to H&S Performance.
